I made my first batch of beer using the beer kit below.  Not too hard.  I only hope it will taste good.  It is fermenting for two weeks then I move to the bottling stage.  If it turns out and is drinkable I might scale up from 1 gallon to 5 gallons.

I have been looking into brewing my own beer.  I think I will call it Mr. Mai Tai’s Malt Liquor.  I haven’t purchased any equipment yet.  I did buy John Palmer’s book How to Brew.  If you are looking to start brewing I would recommend this book.  It is a good first step.
